OASIS BODIES

2024 – 2026

OASIS BODIES is a dance film project that explore interactions between our bodies and our environment. Based on encounters with residents from different backgrounds, choreographer Massimo Fusco and director Thibaut Ras create choreographic portraits that offers a crossed vision of the city and bodies in movement.

Oasis Bodies – Alive !

A group of isolated women discover the impact of dance on their bodies, gradually releasing their words and revealing their inner strength. Their movements become metaphors, gestures expressing long-held feelings. Their bodies in motion tell stories of strength, resilience and acceptance. This film is a powerful testament to the power of dance to heal emotional wounds and strengthen human bonds.

Oasis Bodies – Bring down the walls

In this film, a group of people from different backgrounds tell us about significants stories that took place in a city district. How does this place still resonate in their bodies ? Following in their footsteps, Massimo Fusco and Thibaut Ras draw a series of choreographic portraits based on their testimonies.

Oasis Bodies – The Origins of the ball

Accompanied by their children or grandchildren, a group of local women pay tribute to couple dances. An attempt to return to the origins of the ball to observe how dance is passed down through the generations.
