Sung-Chun Tsai
Dancer
Sung-Chun Tsai is a dancer and artist from Taiwan.
Originally trained in theatre lighting design at the National Taipei University of the Arts, Sung studied dance performance, specializing in contemporary dance. He has a deep passion for street dance styles, particularly Waacking and House.
His work often integrates multiple media. His practice is rooted in improvisation, not only devoting himself to the dance battle field, but also exploring the interaction between movement, sound, objects, and light. Sung actively promotes dance culture by organizing jams and offering dance and somatic practice courses, fostering creative exchanges within the community.
Sung has performed with Bulareyaung. In 2022, he developed his own creation at the National Taichung Theater in Taïwan. Since then, he has been invited to work with the Dance Bridge Festival, Kuabo Dance Theater and he is a member of the Lyon Waacking Project. He collaborates with Romane Santarelli for the OK:KO summer tour 2025.
In 2024, he performed at the Olympic and Paralympic opening ceremonies in Paris. He joined the Corps Magnetiques team for the creation of the BAL MAGNETIQUE.
