Garance Bréhaudat
Dancer
Garance Bréhaudat began her career as a dancer in Dominique Brun’s Sacre#2 and Noces. She collaborate with a number of other companies, including Embellie Musculaire, Sylex – Sylvie Balestra, Ulysse & Ernest, Iroise, Corps & Paysage and Watermelon Sugar, on various creations.
Garance dances at balls, and her interest in festive dance practices has led her to traditional music and dance festivals in France. She trained in Laban movement notation at the CNSMD in Paris, graduating in 2021, she also defended a thesis as part of a Master Dance program at the Paris University in 2020, entitled Faire communauté : le cercle circassien dans le bal folk.
She studied classical percussion alongside her dance studies at the CRD de Troyes, and is learning the diatonic accordion through “traditional” dance music repertoires. At the same time, Garance is involved in transmission projects, where practices are built around encounters and cooperation between people. She has worked for Démos en Beauvaisis, and she shared creations with non-professional dancers. She recently took part in the Danse à la Carte project led by Blandine Minot.
In 2024, she joined the Corps Magnetiques team to create the BAL MAGNETIQUE.
